Trump and Republicans’ shutdown is not just political. It’s cruel.

Now Republicans are using their government shutdown as an excuse to stop all SNAP funding for children, seniors and Americans with disabilities — even though SNAP has $6 billion available in reserves.

Earlier this year, Republicans slashed $200 billion in SNAP nutrition benefits (while they gave billions in tax breaks to billionaires).

A new law includes the largest-ever cuts to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. Here's how much that may reduce what families can spend on food.

How about they study real public health threats instead of indulging conspiracies? Maybe HHS can start by bringing back all the CDC scientists who were foolishly pushed out. https://t.co/BHsAXK0YJW

Donald Trump has shown that he'll go to the earth's end to rig our democracy and seize power. November 4 is our chance to send a clear message that California won't stand for it. We will turn out to vote YES on Prop 50. https://t.co/IW1DdliqBS

Instead of wining and dining in foreign countries, how about the President focus on Americans here at home and end his government shutdown.

Trump and Republicans want to give Argentina a $40 billion bailout using taxpayers’ money. But they refuse to use $6 billion in reserves for SNAP food and nutrition services for millions of children, seniors and disabled during their government shutdown.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said an additional $20 billion in private-sector loans for Argentina could effectively double the value of a U.S. rescue plan.

It's a good time to be the only candidate for Governor with a proven track record of expanding health care coverage, lowering prescription drug costs, and guiding our country out of a pandemic.

So proud to have the endorsement of California's largest construction trade union. The Laborers are supporting us because we're the only campaign with the experience to lead California forward and make life better for working families.

Americans who secure their health insurance on the ACA exchange are about to see massive premium hikes when Open Enrollment begins this weekend. The GOP created this catastrophe. Millions will lose coverage unless Congress acts immediately to extend Americans’ ACA tax credits.

An honor to stand alongside the Laborers and earn their endorsement. My dad was a Laborer, and I became a member myself. Union values were instilled in me early on. Now I'm running for Governor to create good-paying jobs, protect health care, and make California affordable.

In what world can struggling families afford 30% higher premiums? This President cares more about building a White House ballroom than he does about health care. I'll be a Governor who protects the health care of Californians no matter what. https://t.co/zYFiapXLL3

The higher prices — affecting up to 17 million Americans who buy coverage on Healthcare.gov — reflect the largest annual premium increases by far in recent years.

Trump's plan to send election monitors to California is unnecessary, unwarranted, and undemocratic. Our elections are already free and fair. We refuse to be intimidated by a wannabe dictator. California voters will hand Trump a major defeat when we vote YES for Prop 50.

Americans are about to get hit hard by the GOP's premium hikes on ACA plans. It's a major reversal from the lower premiums we achieved when I was HHS Secretary. As California's Health Care Governor, I'll be on a mission to keep care affordable for residents of our state.

It’s getting harder for construction workers, like my dad, to make it in California. I’m running for Governor to rebuild the California Dream for families who are being left behind. I will bring the same Laborers union values my father passed down to me to the Governor’s office.
