Update: Garden Stakes Dad made it into Parliament for the first time today for the King's Speech, with my mum (Campaign Social Secretary)! It still humbles me that my parents came to the UK 30 years ago from a country w/o democracy, and can now see me in Parliament 🌹
Congratulations to my dad, who has now put up over a hundred Labour garden stakes in Earley & Woodley constituency! I’d like this to catch on as a 21st century dad stereotype: doing the DIY tasks on the campaign team & putting up signs when your daughter runs for Parliament
