Ontario Regulation 612 created Schools Councils to bring parents, teachers and community together to support pupils and make the system accountable. Parents can’t be silenced if their School Council follows this mandate.
The data doesn't lie. #underfunding the #Education has brought us here, not the school Boards mismanagement. Let's spead the #truth. #Students & staff are at their limit & #parents are being #silenced. We know @PaulCalandra @fordnation

When school and home don't collaborate on learning, there's always been someone to blame. But when we acknowledge that each brings something to the table that benefits the student, we build trust and understanding.

Remembering James Baldwin on his birthday. One of my favourite quotes “The children are always ours, every single one of them, all over the globe; and I am beginning to suspect that whoever is incapable of recognizing this may be incapable of morality”

This is exactly why I invest in making positive calls home. I began this practice as a high school teacher @PowhatanSchools over 30 years ago. Today, it’s part of what I do weekly, if not daily. If you’ve not started, the time is now! #ccesdukes #WeAreCUCPS @VDOE_News

Here is what Tsuu T’ina Minor Chief Steven Crowchild said to Trump (as per National Chief Cindy Woodhouse via Facebook): “When it came to that one individual, I almost didn’t stay. I was filled with rage and I knew by then, that the world was watching. I was going to go home,

📢 Engagement isn’t an event—it’s a culture. When it’s reactive, not intentional, we miss the chance to build real connection. It’s not a checkbox. Not a one-time event. Not talking at families. It’s co-creation. It’s relationship. It’s trust.

⬇️ And families are encouraged to share their insights and information. 🌟 Love your work, Khadra.
strong partnerships between families & schools are all about open communication & shared commitment to a child’s educational journey. When schools share valuable insights & information with parents, it creates a welcoming atmosphere where families feel empowered @SteveSalfarlie
