Just received a text from one of my Wing-T Godfathers, Coach Paul Connor, that one of HIS mentors had passed. The "Wing-T Brotherhood" is a real thing that transcends generations. RIP, Coach Kempski. Thank you for all you did for the game.

A lot of wisdom in this article. One piece of advice I give novice play-callers:. "Don't worry about looking like a genius. Just try to not like an idiot.". In the pursuit of genius, many stumble into idiocy, and lose to those governed by practicality and common sense.

At least if you weren't a good player you cant waste players' time making them listen to stories about how good you were. You can just get down to business.
Huge myth: If you didn’t play at a high level, you can’t coach/teach the game OR if you did play at a high level, then you can coach/teach the game. Neither of these is true. Coaching & teaching the game have absolutely nothing to do with how good your were or where you played!.

Furthermore, give those tweener types who can do multiple things well, but are a step slow in the 40 or 2 inches too short. We'll shift and motion in and out of so many looks you won't know what personnel grouping we're in.
