A few weeks ago a couple UCL med students from their WinS committee approached The Suture Hub for a little help with the suturing workshop at their 2023 conference. I offered my help. Yesterday in the post I received this WinS course tote bag and pen. I ❤️ course merchandise!👍🏽👏🏽

Our final talk of the day! Rewards, mistakes and mortalities - Professor McNally explored the mistakes she’s made in her career and how she overcame them!

Our final workshop of the day! Advanced suturing on pig trotters - this was definitely a highlight and allowed our delegates to put their surgery skills to the test!

Our 2nd talk of the day is a very important talk on innovation in surgery - Dr Nadine Hachach-Haram introduced the use of virtual reality in surgery (a very modern and exciting new area of surgical performance & training!) @Proximie @DrNadineHH

Our final session of day 1! Here we have our parenthood panel with Ms Nagina Subrati, Miss Whitburn, Ms Nina Mistry, Mr Ali Esmaeili @DrAliEsmaeili & Ms Tharsika Myuran - they discussed how to balance the workload of being a surgeon and a parent!

An incredibly helpful talk up next by Dr Frances Ledesma @francesjledesma - she shared her top tips for compiling a strong CST portfolio!

Another great talk for the second half of day 1! Ms Deepa Bose gave a fascinating insight into her experiences with practising and teaching medicine in less developed countries.
