Yo @DER_Task_Force, @James_McGinniss, @duncan__c, @cmetelitsa Iโm gonna need some advice finalizing the outlines of the program. @ArushiSF Iโd like to follow up again since our conversation a while ago. Thanks @JigarShahDC for joining us virtually last week.

I am excited about this, #PublicPower is doing distributed capacity procurement. #DERs #DCP "However, he said he is glad the resolution moves the utility toward more distributed energy resources, which typically include measures such as rooftop solar and battery storage."
I want coal out of my district. OPPD needs to be supporting, encouraging, and installing clean energy on homes and businesses. This will increase reliability, decrease costs, and provide resilience. I'll continue this work immediately in January. photo credit: OWH

Director Williams "voted against the resolution, saying he has supported the removal of coal since before he was elected and cannot approve guidance to utility leaders that allows its continued use." https://t.co/8Buv3IGJtI

As of 5:45 am, over 70% of reported outages have been restored. 300+ mutual aid workers have arrived, & hundreds of replacement poles are coming today. Weโre committed to restoring power as safely & quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience. ๐ https://t.co/hGIdrYALWq

Vehicle OEMs demonstrated shocking ignorance of science. ICE vehicles waste ~2/3 of energy to heat, and $$ for H2 delivery infrastructure would be astronomical. My 2015 Leaf was great, so is my current 2018 Leaf. I look forward to improvements that will come with my next EV.
Hydrogen cars were dead before they left they starting gate. This is because the performance merits of EVs significantly overshadow those of hydrogen vehicles. From and engineering perspective EVs convert a high percentage of grid electricity into power at the wheels, with

@3NewsNowOmaha Due respect to @3NewsNowOmaha, the information is correct in the story, even if not in the headline. FTA: The $200 Million dollar grant is going to Columbus based Nebraska Generation & Transmission to build 725 Mega Watts of renewable generation...

When reading and sharing information about #CleanEnergy make sure the facts are correct. For example, this headline from @3NewsNowOmaha could use a 'slight' update. The funding amount is $200 million, that's $200,000,000. Actual amount is *1,000x* more than the headline.

Another #NewYearsDay and another clean, easy, safe #induction prepared meal. This time it is smoky tomato and white bean chili. Hereโs to even more #ElectrifyEverything projects in 2025.
Cooking up some black eyed peas for #NewYearsDay and giving my mom a demonstration of the safety of an #InductionStove which is boiling hot, yet still safe to touch. My whole family is gonna be celebrating an #ElectrifyEverything 2023 ๐

Much appreciation to @Climate_AF for support during my reelection. I'm proud to have earned your endorsement and will continue to work toward policy which reduces carbon emissions while delivering an equitable distribution of the benefits from the clean energy transition.
Congrats to @WilliamsForOPPD! As an Omaha Public Power District member, Eric has championed climate action and been a leading voice for decarbonization!

For everyone on #energytwitter who knows how important transmission is to the clean energy transition, check this out. I'm really excited to see these projects move forward and provide increased reliability, affordability, and expanded clean energy.
.@SPPorg Board of Directors recently approved a $7.7 billion plan to expand and upgrade the regionโs transmission capacity. https://t.co/DVsZWqRf6t

Thrilled to be at #DERvos again this year. Bigger and better, now with even more regulators participating than ever! So many people doing the needed work to bring clean energy to homes, businesses, and every corner of the grid.

Policy has consequences. Here are the implications for Nebraska. tl;dr #Project2025 would be bad. Very bad. The most positive future economic outcomes for our state come from continuing and accelerating deployment of renewable energy and clean technology.
Here's some new modeling showing how Project 2025 would economically impact each state. For example: "Cost Pennsylvania 37,700 jobs and $7.57 billion from state GDP while burdening the average household with $170 in additional energy costs in 2030." https://t.co/GwujNkE3Yn

It seems that the @ChargePointnet station will not automatically begin charging the next vehicle, even if it is plugged in. So I started a charging session for the Hummer, youโre welcome friend. Thanks for choosing clean transportation.

Stopped at a different DCFC on my way home, this time in Auburn, NE. I arrived just before a Hummer EV, but sadly the station wonโt charge both vehicles at once. Nice location, there is a great public park next to the charger.
Iโm on another #EV road trip to go camping for the weekend. Chargers are somewhat limited in Nebraska, but a tiny bit of planning and this is working out great for me. We definitely need more charging infrastructure, but claims you canโt roadtrip in an EV feel inaccurate to me.
