To the people of Rutherglen. The SNP have been mitigating it with the child payment. It's @ScottishLabour MPs that voted against lifting it. MSPs abstained on it in Holyrood. They are all on here claiming to be the heroes when in fact they are far from it.
The SNP could have dealt with the two-child cap eight years ago but chose not to in a bid to manufacture grievance. Within 18 months of being elected, Labour has scrapped it, benefitting 95,000 Scottish kids and lifting 450,000 kids out of poverty in the UK.
