This type of partisan nonsense will largely stop if we pass @voteyes836. Is SQ836 perfect? No. Will it significantly improve Oklahoma's political landscape, increase voter participation, and make elected leaders more representative of their constituents? Absolutely.
My office will investigate whether a proposed mosque and commercial development in Broken Arrow complies with Oklahoma law and applicable federal statutes. Given the realities of global terrorism, there can be no compromise on public safety and security. https://t.co/SoJXpR6fUb

Dr. Lee herself played for Vanderbilt and earned her undergraduate, master's, and doctorate from VU. She could be anywhere, but she's using her talents to improve her (triple) alma mater. So, I hope Dr. Lee is enjoying the fruits of her labor. Students and alumni certainly are.

@VanderbiltU athletes also maintain a collective 3.45 gpa, with nearly 200 making the Dean's list - at a top 20 university. Vanderbilt is a uniquely well-rounded institution. You don't see this happening at Duke or UChicago. And Dr. Lee is a major part of that overall success.

People aren't talking enough about the work Dr. Lee is doing as @VandyAD. @VandyFootball had a historic season, @VandyMBB and @VandyWBB are both undefeated, @VandySoccer was a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament, and @VandyBoys are gearing up for another likely run at Omaha.

The NYE @okcthunder game has become a tradition for Ranya and I to ring in the new year. This will be our third year!
Chet Holmgren on the Thunder playing on NYE’s: “I heard every team gets to pick one game to schedule every year. We picked to play at home on New Year’s every year. A little known tradition.”

I’ve crunched the numbers, and the easiest way for the Thunder to improve on their already great record would be to cancel all games with the Spurs. Cut those, and it’s smooth sailing!

The poor announcers of the Paul vs Joshua fight are openly expressing their frustration at what Jake Paul has done to the sport of boxing.

We should have open primaries in Oklahoma. But until we do, Democratic primaries should be closed. So should Republican. It was odd to me when the Dems opened their primaries and it's odd how upset some were at today's announcement that they would be closed next year.

The Committee doesn't apply their own standards fairly or consistently. They ignore them to support the usual powerhouses like Alabama but deflect to them to justify leaving out teams like BYU and Vanderbilt. Surely we could create an algorithm to evenly apply set guidelines?
So remind me. It only counts when BYU gets blown out in the conference title game, but for Bama it doesn’t matter cause it’s an extra game for them? I think I got it now. 🙄. Make it make sense.

So much of the Vanderbilt CFP discourse boils down to one thing: The world is not ready to accept that Vanderbilt is good at football now.
Ran the numbers on this After losing to Vandy, ranked teams went down an average of ~10 spots The average for ranked teams that lost to the bubble teams ahead of us (ALA, BYU, MIA, ND, TEX) was only ~6 spots Almost twice as punitive When we refer to bias, this is what we mean

I don't want to play in the frickin' ReliaQuest Bowl. What even is that? Give Vandy the Citrus Bowl! Or Gator.

I'm not even saying Vanderbilt should have definitely made the CFP. I do think the statistics make a strong argument... But the fact that they aren't even in the discussion despite being at #14 and a key part of both Alabama's and Texas's CFP case is just silly.

Wild that Alabama and Texas beating @VandyFootball was used to make a case for both to be in the CFP (Texas was left out), but there's almost no commentary about why Vanderbilt was left out. All of the other bubble teams are being discussed. It's clear there is eye test bias.

This isn’t necessarily a bad idea. But to pretend it will empower those in poverty is just an outright lie. Despite what Cruz says, single moms waiting tables famously do NOT have $5,000/year to put into savings. The majority of Americans in fact cannot afford to do this.
Ted Cruz on the "Trump Accounts": "Take a little girl born next year—the accounts open, $1k is automatically seeded, her parents, her family, her employer puts $5,000 each year. Assuming growth of S&P 500, which is 7% a year, by the time that little girl is 18, she will have

I've heard it all today. I’ve watched it all today. @VandyFootball deserves a chance to be in the @CFBPlayoff. You can try to talk your way into whatever you want. A 10-2 SEC team, playing its best football late. With the best offense in the country. With the best Quarterback

Hard to argue that @VandyFootball shouldn’t be in the playoffs. If they aren’t, it’s simply because of they don’t pass the eye test. They’ve never been on the CFP radar, so the committee just can’t mentally value their body of work fairly. But the statistics are with Vanderbilt.
My second favorite college football team, Vanderbilt, may be getting a raw deal from the CFP committee—like, maybe it should be ranked as high as 6th, rather than 14th. Below is my “Common Opponent” analysis. Common Opponent Analysis: Why the CFP may be Severely Underrating

Riley Gaines wasn't beaten by a trans athlete. She was beaten by four female-born athletes, tying for 5th with Lia Thomas. She rode her "loss" to 5-figure speaking deals. Similarly, the OU student wrote an early high school paper in a college class and was penalized accordingly.

It's hard to explain just how bad Auburn was in the last few minutes of that game.
