as a Villanova fan, it becomes harder and harder to not like Dan Hurley as the weeks go on. his pitch is correct, and he doesn’t appear to be making empty promises like Calipari and so many others. he clearly knows what he’s doing.

Villanova is not going to lose many basketball games this season. the team is absolutely stacked and there’s no consensus on the starting 5 because there’s 7 guys who could start. Nova also has the best shooter in the country in Hausen. this might be their best team since 2018.

it makes no sense why UConn fans act like Villanova is nothing historically when Nova leads Big East in Final 4s, Elite 8s, Sweet 16s, tournament appearances, and Tourney Wins, at 71. Nova has been to the tourney the 6th most of all teams ever. UConn has 2 more titles. That’s it.

so i think there’s a few things Cam Whitmore & Brendan Hausen should know. Villanova is tied for 6th all time in NCAA tournament appearances, 8th all time in win %, one of only 2 teams to make the tournament in every decade, one of only a few teams to make the final 4 in 6 1/2.

i can’t think of any BIG EAST team with a player as good as Cam - not UConn, nor Creighton. certainly the NBA scouts agree with that. at 6’7 235, with that kind of ball handling, speed, and power, he will make every coach preparing for him lose sleep.
