A spot on post by Trey that applies to all coaches not just hitting coaches 🎯.
As a hitting coach, what makes me cringe the most?. A coach having to say something after EVERY swing. - Let the player think. - Let the player work through it. Pick your spots + be well thought out. Results per minute > Words per minute.

Rotate hard, throw hard 🌪️#MoveFast.
🚀 "Rotation is velocity." 🚀. Want to throw cheese? Data from the @DrivelineBB Launchpad illustrates that turning fast is important - and building the engine to do that is critical. Pitchers who throw 90+ MPH are overall more powerful, explosive, and strong!

As I always say, why take a knife to a gun fight?.
🧵Pitchers: Stop chasing a 4th or 5th pitch when your 2nd or 3rd pitch still isn’t competitive. It’s not about how many pitches you throw—it’s about how many you can actually execute. Let’s talk development, training economy, and pitch utility 👇

🚨 Velo Jump Alert 🚨. Zach Fabis (.@zach_fabis) a 2-way from Rockford University (.@RegentBaseball), came to us 6 weeks ago sitting 84 and topping 87. Today? He sat 86-87 and hit a new PR with a 90 MPH for the first time 🔥. Great seeing the work paying off for a good dude📈.

Velocity matters. It continues to be the best predictor of success. It gives pitchers more margin for error, shortens reaction time, and makes offspeed pitches play up. That changeup is a lot nastier when it’s following fuel. Chase velocity—but be sure to do it with a plan.
Brewers pitchers tonight — Miz, Koenig, Uribe, Megill — averaged 99.34 mph on fastballs. That's the highest average fastball velo in any single game by a team in the pitch tracking era. We don't have velo data past '08, but odds are that's the highest avg FB velo in a game EVER.
