Yes the new maps is obviously influencing player retention much more, but I foresee this being a benefit for the long haul. Unexpected, but a very welcome change.

This actually makes a huge difference. I barely have enough time to think about whether or not I should leave the game, so I end up sticking around. Seems like a lot of people feel the same way, more people stick around for the following round.
Now the map voting screen looks like this after "tf_mm_next_map_vote_time" was reduced to 15s

Very glad to see Boardwalk added. Laughter is a top 3 Halloween map imo, very happy it got de-spookified and put in the base rotation.

I’m still planning on doing streams/videos on community mvm content, I’ve just had to push a few things back recently. Have a really degen challenge idea for August that I think will be sufficient, I’ll announce it soon enough.

This doesn't make new aussies an impossibility, but if they were hellbent on making sure they were planned from the jump, they would've mentioned on the update page. New aussies are a now or never type of deal, I hope Valve seizes the opportunity.

People were getting really overhyped about australiums, there was literally no confirmation that they were going to put in that extra effort. Seriously hope they reconsider though, would print them millions for just a few days of extra work.
