We also encourage folks delivering down into the bayous to come scoop supplies (we have a LOT of the shakes and meals) to bring to Morgan City, Houma, Dulac, etc. We’ve been happy to meet some of y’all already today and to see these supplies brought to where they’re needed most.

We do this work because this is our home. We were here long before Francine and know that we’ll be here long after. We also know the path to dignity through climate crisis is one that requires intention, investment, and diligent work beyond bandaids.

@NOLAnotes 👋 I probably won the dummy lottery in buying a house w/ mostly flr-to-clng windows. They're bolstered by interior shutters. They didn't break in Ida so I'm not boarding up. This acct has some really solid advice: https://t.co/Rt2uuOXUEt

BONUS TIPS FROM OUR HURRICANE GUIDE: Always place a layer of trash bags and/or tarps under the sandbags to prevent leakage. If you can’t get sandbags, potting soil works. After the storm, repurpose it in the garden. Read the full guide on our website in English or Spanish.
