Youâre better off challenging people than trying to please them: Why not doing both at the same time?.
The instinct to please people is hazardous. You end up making the same shit other people already did. Meanwhile someone else breaks the format and leaves you in the dust. You're better off challenging people than trying to please them.

Digital is just a tool; on-chain digital art doesn't exist as a movement. Cryptoart is something else, something profound, a shift in the artistic paradigm that neither the old gatekeepers nor the so-called crypto bros of the "Web 3 culture" understand. A pointless fight between.
Yesterday at an art opening, I said âdigital artâ instead of âNFTsâ to avoid the usual eye-roll. But I still got the full aggression package. Next time, Iâm going full Crypto Art. If youâre gonna hate me, might as well do it properly.

Agree. We donât need anyone setting goals, limiting freedom, controlling the narrative and diluting everything in a common pot.
@RaoulGMI Ease of use for onboarding more people to this experience is always awesome. Although in terms of digital art and CryptoArt there are definitely some drawbacks to having one large entity or even just a few controlling the narrative in terms of curation âŠ.

Unlike "on-chain" digital art, cryptoart is a shift in the artistic paradigm that is as much about nonconformity as it is about renewal. It must be resistant to the old gatekeepers, the new influencers, and - above all - the so-called crypto bros of the "Web3 culture".
Crypto art culture is counterculture. It challenges norms and the established order. Crypto degens seeking validation from trad art institutions are like btc maxis seeking validation from central banks. We donât need validation - we are the validation.
