@MEMBRA_Trees We captured and shared much of our exploration from the past two years collaborating with the @MEMBRA_Trees project: a unique project that brings together artists, classicists, geographers and molecular biologists with an overall aim of improving future @UKTreescapes 🌳🌳🌳.

@MEMBRA_Trees The conference considered how a ‘rights of nature’ approach to treescapes could inform their protection and future in the UK. During the event we questioned the roles of artists and of academia, bringin forward the experiences of standing up/with/ for trees, earth, and life 🌱.

Over the last three days, we have weaved performance presentation and ceremony; tree-focused run; yoga tree salutations; reflections on tree agency and the law, and more throughout the @MEMBRA_Trees Valuing Treescapes conference 🌳🌳🌳.

If you could give one right to trees, what would it be?. We asked this question in panel discussion this morning, where @lucyhneal explored Tree Agency and The Law, alongside Sarah Dodd (Lawyer and owner of Tree Law) and Charles Mynors (Law Commission of England and Wales)

The Intentional Woodland is the culmination of Walking Forest's 10-year artwork; it will be a lasting, living artwork that offers space for hope, encouragement, beauty and resilience for present and future generations. 🌳🌲🌳🌲🌳. Read more on our website:
