Over 25 crore workers has stopped work- not out of choice, but necessity. When workers rise, it's not just about wages - it is about dignity, rights, and justice. We stand in solidarity with all those demanding fair working conditions.

This is about equity. Everyone deserves protection from extreme heat — not just those who can escape indoors. We must shift the narrative from personal cooling to collective resilience. 🌍🌱.(5). #HeatWave #UrbanPlanning #ClimateJustice #RightToCool #UrbanHeatIsland.

What’s needed?.✅ Accessible cooling shelters.✅ Shaded public spaces.✅ Clean drinking water.✅ Sanitation facilities. All integrated into urban design. Cities must be built for everyone, not just for those who can afford appliances. (4).

Let’s not forget: Most informal workers — street vendors, construction labourers, delivery personnel — don’t have the privilege of an AC. They face the worst of extreme heat without basic protection. This is not just an environmental issue. It’s a justice issue. (3).

Focusing only on ACs is a reactive response. What we need is sustainable adaptation. That means reimagining cities with:. 🌳 More green spaces.🧱 Less concretization.🏙️ Climate-sensitive urban planning .(2).

Air-conditioners are not a solution to the growing heat crisis they’re part of the problem ❌.ACs release hot air into already overheated environments, making cities hotter and worsening the urban heat island effect. 🌆🔥.(1).

Workers power our world, but many earn less than they need to live. Climate change worsens this injustice, raising living costs while wages stay low. Fair wages and equal pay aren’t optional they are a right. #EqualPay #WorkersRights #ClimateJustice

Only few informal workers use the metro, and with rising fares, even that few are pushed toward unsafe, overcrowded transport. Affordable public transit is essential-not a luxury. #FairFares #WorkersRights #BMRCL @OfficialBMRCL.

Metro now costs more than a one-time meal for nearly 1 in 3 commuters. A 13% drop in ridership & a 20% drop in February alone show how fare hikes push people off public transport—ALL AT THE COST OF INCREASING POLLUTION AND CONGESTION .@OfficialBMRCL #RevokeMetroFareHike
