The US Marshalls can deputize local law enforcement at will to bring them into service to the Executive Branch. This could be a tool that this administration uses to bring order to key jurisdictions at opportune times. City cops are usually at our enemies disposal.
I just went to the Palm Beach police station to make a police report for my stolen wallet. I lost $1000 and a number of really sentimental irreplaceable family memories. Police told me that there is basically zero chance the criminal will receive any punishment. Maybe one month.
