*Heaviside equations not Maxwell equations Oliver Heaviside is the most underrated scientist. Due to James Clerk Maxwellโ€™s early death the equations understanding and application are largely due to him. He created the 4 equations we know today https://t.co/cdAHRMzooQ

Eton and Aldeham have the earliest football code rules. The earliest passing game was played by Westminster and Charterhouse schools. Although Cambridge AFC were the first modern team. The Royal Engineers invented the combination game.

@FridoKala The problem is modern art is lazy and derivative compared with the English golden age of painting 1750-1900. Even lesser know works like Turnerโ€™s huge trafalgar painting, Thornhillโ€™s painted hall, Richmondโ€™s mosaics in St Paulโ€™s and Lawrenceโ€™s Waterloo portraits are excellent.

@SkyNews Surely the oldest existing football club should be saved. Englandโ€™s sport of football is loved the world over The Gymnastic Society from the 1700โ€™s is older as well as numerous school and university teams in England from the late 1700โ€™s and early 1800โ€™s https://t.co/NolbDmZGG8

George Orwell was born to English parents who were working in India at a British company. They moved back to their native England when he was 1. Similar situation with Kipling. If you read Orwell or Kiplingโ€™s works you would see they are firmly English

The oldest surviving examples of Old English are older than those of old welsh. Picts were replaced by Scots who arrived around the same time as Anglo-Saxons https://t.co/dVH6iYZpOp
