One of the hardest things to do in life is accept that you can’t be in control of everything. @TonyRobbins talks about certainty & uncertainty being fundamental parts of life. Living in the balance between the two takes faith. What do you have faith in…?

Starting the weekend with; - Cuddles & kids films - Doing the mountain of washing up listening to epic film scores. - Cleaning the kitchen. - Seeing the kids enjoy their breakfast. Possibly the best refresh I have in life! What simple actions recharge your battery?

A lack of self awareness in this contributes to the chasm that can appear between applied practitioners & academics. Understanding your own limits helps to fuel collaboration and growth in performance.

Education is the acquisition of knowledge, while intelligence is the ability to use that knowledge to think and reason. One can be highly educated but not necessarily intelligent, and vice versa.

“The most creative people are willing to work in the shadow of uncertainty” Creativity, Inc. A quote on the creation of @Pixar. That resonate with any coaches other than myself?

The way people choose to deliver their message shares a lot about mindset & state. “I want to talk to you” “I’d like to talk with you” Both achieve the same outcome but mean different things. “You listen to me!” “I want to work with you” How do YOU want to be heard…?

Internal rotation at the shoulder helps to reach a great position to volley from. If you can’t get to that position, for whatever reason, it limits the setting options you can hit consistently. Hands up if you’ve been that outside that’s forgotten the setters front court..??🙈

Jumping on sand is completely different to jumping on-court. 🏝 Sand moves... Changing the physiological requirements on the muscle and tendon during the jump 💪 This is HUGE when thinking about training to jump on either surface!

Creating a stable, consistent platform starts at the floor. Ankle mobility let's your knees move over your foot, hip stability helps to control the position of your knee.
