Finally after a decade we have a picture of T-14 Armata brand new autoloader. It uses a completely different round arrangement compared to AZ and MZ series autoloaders with both projectile and charge being stored vertically allowing for impressive 31 rounds in the tray.

Going back in time, on the proto there was no module/cover on the lower frontal plate, meaning that it either is a cosmetic cover (more likely) or some addon armor (less likely), even in the case it's an addon, with this size it won't add much to the rather thin front hull array.

btw as i forgot to specify right cheek from the CAMERA perspective, not the TANK ONE, from tanks perspective it is the LEFT cheek that has thin sheet metal and the RIGHT one has the ERA/comp addon, just to be clear.

6/6.In general, i find it odd, that in 2025 we see a brand new tank, lacking any new protection systems on the turret, crew hatches (bafflingly thin!) and the engine deck against ever present loitering munitions, bomber/fpv drones and artillery submunitions like SMART. Just ehh🤷‍♂️.

5/x.Last the APS modules seem to be rather lightly armored (on first pic in thread, hinges can be seen on the sides to open up the covers), and are clearly separate to the main turret structure, which is quite a bit smaller than it seems.

4/x.Gun used is supposedly a new 105mm, but with the ZTZ name, and the RCWS on the back, i do start to wonder if it might perhaps be a new 125 and the rear bustle doesn't house any ammo at all? Remains to be seen/confirmed.

3/x.The long elongated turret lacks visible blowout panels and sports a pretty hefty RCWS/CITV combo right where we could expect the ammo stowage to be, indicating that they perhaps use a similiar solution to one seen on Rheinmetall new blowout panels, or don't have them at all.

2/x.The tank seems to share a chassis with the newly unveiled front engined IFV, or at least shares some parts with it, as can be seen by the roadwheels on both being the same.

So everyone jumped onto the new chinese tank supposedly called ZTZ-201 (indicating a main battle tank role).So to start my 2 cents to the discussion: the right cheek has only thin comestic armor, compared to left one with era/addon blocks and the crew hatches are paper thin. 1/x
