GTDs in climatic conditions with ambient air temperatures below 0°C require far less preparation, unlike diesel engines, which need time to heat up.

2S19 Msta-S project to replace the old chassis with a new, compact hull with a frontal engine placement. It was argued that a compact hull design would be narrower, allowing the vehicle to be transported in an IL-76, instead of the conventional AN-124 Ruslan.

Mockup of a T-14 with "Stealth-Nakidka". While this is an interesting non-official proposition to match the Swedish ADAPTIV system. This would never be feasible, and the T-14 will remain to use normal Nakidka and Ternovnik camouflage kits.

Diagram depicting how rubberised sideskirts affect air streams containing dust. Sideskirts significantly reduce the kicked-up, turbulent air containing dust before it enters the filters.

All that is left is to wait and see. If Army-2025 does not get cancelled, we could see this vehicle being showcased.

Where would this vehicle slot in? It could be for specialised units, or it will face the same fate as the BMPT and have issues with allocation and actual demand by the RF MoD.

Situational awareness is also an important thing to consider. Naturally, the vehicle has sensors and cameras that allow the operator to have awareness, but how does it fare against a trained crew? Of course, there are factors like combat stress that need to be considered.

Advancements in electronic miniaturisation and control systems have made it possible for the vehicle to support the presence of crew members, but this is a partial double-cost issue. Do you purely rely on the remote-controlled integration and use a specialised control vehicle?.

Considering this is a new turret design, it lacks any armour, yet can carry crew members. How will this design operate at long ranges when you have communication delays for input controls and vice-versa? The extra costs for a mobile control system should also be considered.

I initially doubted that UVZ would make a remote-controlled assault tank based on the T-72/90 chassis. Looking at existing information, things don't make sense, and it's too early to have a full grasp on the vehicle, what it's intended for and how it will be integrated.

Due to the necessary equipment, data communication, GPS, control systems and computing blocks, the internal volume that crew members would use was taken up by electronics.

Every major control system, including the FCS, autoloader, and driver controls, was actuated remotely without requiring the presence of a crew member. Videos showing how the tank manoeuvres around basic obstacles and how driver controls are actuated.

A modified T-72B tank fitted with remote-control equipment. This was the RF MoD's attempt at revisiting "Teletanks", remote-controlled tanks that can be operated from a distance. Due to lacklustre FCS digitalisation, engineers opted to attach cameras directly to the eyepieces.

T-80U field experiment with disengaged shock absorbers. The experiment was conducted to determine whether it's viable to create controllable shock absorbers that can be engaged or disengaged depending on road or terrain conditions.
