Perhaps because conventional wisdom has been to "Never invest in race horses or movies.".
Hollywood doesn’t hold all the keys .If more private investors backed independent films, fewer actors would be at the mercy of studios. Netflix & Amazon pay millions for the right story. The real question: why aren’t more people investing in movies instead of just watching.
