Fenty Beauty’s clip-arty social media campaign may signal a change in direction for luxury advertising. It won’t suit every brand.

it blows my mind that UK politics is not an endless, 24/7 screaming match about the housing crisis. London has Detroit wages and San Francisco rents and yet people are still anxious that it is adding too much housing

The UK has a deep state and it's the planning system. If you can't build dense housing in the North London Business Park then you've made it illegal to build dense housing. London has the worst housing crisis in the world. The current planning system should be utterly abolished

Someone made this nice chart of densities of different cities. It’s worth noting that even the highest density parts of NYC are ~1/2 that of Mumbai or Hong Kong and NYC doesn’t have that density at all sustained.

It's worth noting the biggest effect sizes showing penalties for density come out of studies conducted in east Asia, while some studies in the US and Canada find the smallest effect sizes. Perhaps because "high density" in America is "rural countryside" in China.
