🧪🩸Increase of CA19-9 can predict recurrence 7-10mos before CT imaging. These results further consolidate CA19-9 as a biomarker in patients with pancreatic cancer. As such, CA19-9 should be systematically evaluated in the neo-adjuvant, peri-operative and post-operative setting.

Using data from both the USA and the Netherlands, our team developed a clinical risk score that helps predict survival at time of recurrence. We hope this tool will help inform patients when making difficult choices considering further treatment and quality of life. 2/3.
