@AmericanAir also, there was a woman with an infant on this flight and had no access to her bag and no way get diapers without leaving the airport & it was suggested by customer service to request her bag and wait for security to reopen or DOORDASH diapers and wait for security to reopen 😀

we were offered a hotel and meal voucher and then promptly reminded that there’s no guarantee that TSA agents will show up to work for us to redo security, so I “slept” in the airport & collected my $12 meal voucher. It took me ages to save for this trip 😭 thx @AmericanAir

with the government shutdown I was prepared for delays due to air traffic control & long security lines, but what I was NOT prepared to board and de-board 2 separate planes due to maintenance issues. Trying round 3 at 8:00 AM 🙃
