What an incredible story from a sister in @girlguidingbgo
@Girlguiding has provided hope and stability for girls overseas for over a hundred years, through the best and the worst times. Our friendships will continue even though operations cease due to 'risk'. #SailingWithBGO
'We decided to make a quilt. It's now in the Imperial War Museum.' Olga Henderson was 13 in 1945 & survived starvation in a POW camp in Singapore. She tells us how she made a quilt for her #GirlGuiding leader whilst being held as an internee. It now hangs in the @I_W_M 🎧⬇️

I loved teaching @DrImelauer daughter Thunderation. I've loved teaching it to every unit I've led. Just like @kayeadams daughter - I loved teaching her too when she was in my unit. But Girlguiding are cruelly taking the guiding they love away from girls and leaders overseas!
Since my little Rainbow learned „Thunder, thunder. thunderation“ in camp. it’s her new favorite song. @tracyfoster268 do you have any idea how much you harm our girls by taking @girlguidingbgo away from them?

BGO Singapore had their final camp last Friday at Camp Christine! We went out with a bang....a loud and heartbroken bang. All units closed this week, and it's been a week of high emotions. #sailingwithbgo

My first ever @girlguidingbgo experience was a couple of nights with 1st Munich Brownies in 2013, and I've just spent my first and last BGO Brownie pack holiday with them (though none of us actually remembered each other!). It's funny how things work out! #SailingWithBGO

Absolutely loved my first and last @girlguidingbgo Brownie camp. I had a fabulous time, I'd never met anyone there before (or at least barely) but in true guiding sister style it was like I was part of their units. Thank you for welcoming me 💙💙💙 #SailingWithBGO
@Girlguiding Tonight our Brownies at 1st Starnberg @girlguidingbgo had their first campfire and S’mores together. It was a perfect evening. with camp songs and laughter in the air. We‘re heartbroken that it was also our last campfire together due to @Girlguiding decision!

Though our guiding bubble @girlguidingbgo has been popped by @Girlguiding our girls had a great time doing „guiding in bubbles“. They are eager trying to get their last UMAs and SB as they are working hard to get their Bronze, Silber and Gold Awards before they are inactivated!
