Thinking of all my @girlguidingbgo friends especially on this World Mental Health day. It has been an incredibly tough year for us but we stuck together and have helped each other through. Thank you to all of my sisters in Guiding. 😘

@bwadebrownowl The current trustees will have served their 5 years, and moved onto something new by the time we start to feel the real repercussions of closing BGO & the TACS. For most, being a trustee was just a box ticking exercise, and just another item to add to their LinkedIn profile.

@Girlguiding Why do you treat your volunteers so badly ? You haven't explained why BGO is being closed. "Corporate risk" is not an explanation. The scouts carry the same risk. US scouting both girls and boys operate outside of the US not closing. After 20 plus years volunteering I'm gone.

@Girlguiding At the bottom of the pages of the blog from the Chief Guide there is our mission statement:“Whoever they are, wherever they’re from, girls can do anything” Talk about irony! Makes my blood boil that the Board have completely gone against our mission with no rational explanation.
