Thanks for pointing that out. Now they'll put one pickle slice on each burger instead of two, cutting the one slice in half. This keeps two slices of pickle on each burger, with the "beef" patty far thicker than the pickles, all while increasing their pickle yield.
The pickle in McDonald's burgers is now thicker than the patty.
