Got up early this morning during my lottery assigned window of time and managed to grab tickets to the men's and women's volleyball quarterfinals and finals for Paris Olympics 2024. Je suis excité!

Fun time coaching this crew this weekend! Played some of their best and most consistent vball of the season.

Overheard at U12 volleyball practice tonight: ‘If I could get paid to do this as a job, I’d totally do it!’ All I could think was ‘me too!’ 🤣.

Feeling pretty excited by how well it all worked!. Can’t wait to try some more next week!.

Finished out with 6-on-6 games to 25 but added a constraint that you won instantly if you could get a kill off a roll shot. You never saw a U15 team improve their ability in one area as fast once the first girl got one. Amazing to watch and the kids had a great time. (4).

Then when we finally started passing to our normal target, they just moved differently/better I thought. Next monarch with the four different weight balls. Players randomly chose which kind of ball they wanted to serve. Lots of variability to deal with for everyone. (3).

It was amazing to see how quickly their movement patterns improved. On the other court we had pass and serve going on but passers were practicing passing under the net, passing high to themselves, passing with back spin and passing with top spin. (2).

Had a really fun practice with my U15 team today. Trying to push the envelope a bit and incorporate more differential learning and constraint lead approach into our practices. Started out with setters setting four different weight volleyballs. (1).

Wow - that set went by fast! 😳😳.

Well, that's a wrap folks! Monday I'll be returning to my role at Microsoft. Going forward, this account will focus on updates about my U15 club vball team. I am forever grateful to UW, Microsoft and Keegan Cook for making this opportunity of a lifetime possible!

This season ended way too soon, but I will always treasure the memories of my time with this team! They’ve made my last 4 months so incredibly rich ❤️❤️❤️

Great practice today - team got after it and served tough. Feels like we are peaking at just the right time. Only 26 hours to go!
