Apollo hospital got land for Rs 1 in Delhi. Still doesn't treat poor patients as per agreement for getting land almost free Now Congress govt in Chhattisgarh going to do the same Cong, BJP, all give away public resources to pvt sector, call it PPP, then pvt sector loots people

ALL previous attempts at #PublicPrivatePartnership in the state failed, including a similar #PPP where Vedanta was given 50acre @ Re1 for cancer hospital. 8 yrs later they got the land at dirt cheap price & are running it commercially. @bhupeshbaghel must reconsider this decision

@yogeshjain_CG @mdncdc I agree. There are four vaccines manufactured in India, two are WHO pre-qualified. It's a shame that we are not using this vaccine in India inspite of #NTAGI's recommendation.

It also doesn’t mean we can wash off hands by having a vaccine for all waterborne illnesses- not care about providing clean water to all - especially majority- who cannot afford to buy water or install RO systems. Then it becomes business over constitutional right to (good) life!

I think India should also consider this seriously. Typhoid diagnosis is tricky and unavailable for most, and empirical treatment is often unsatisfactory and unreliable. Even a 80% efficacy vaccine will be good to have. @ICMR @KaminiWalia @mdncdc

In Aug, I wrote an article in which, among other things, I urged ppl to understand that jus bcz Indian govt officials & politicians say 1:1000 doctor-pop ratio is a "WHO recommendation", does not mean it is coming from @WHO. Seeing ppl continue to repeat that, here's a reminder:

Pharmacy=art and science of preparing and dispensing drugs and medicines (and also reviewing..but). We hv craftily mastered these or been allowed to. Today’s: English knowing-pharmacy unknowing patient to pharmacist-Need antacid; He gives 🤑rs150/10 combo-new antacid+med for🤮!🤯
