Calling the increase in share of Buddhists from 0.05% to 0.81% just a "noticeable increase" is a gross understatement. It is a 1,520% rise in Buddhist population!!! Is it because of Dalits leaving Hinduism to become Buddhists? Yet again, bonafide oversight or deliberate?

Love this story for the focus on nurses. Nurses are doing SO MUCH! As much as doctors, often much more because they also sponge patients, clean them up, feed them, all the unglamorous but important work for a human being's sense of dignity.

@Shakeeb_a_khan @SonaliVaid @nehazard7 That was my experience as a medical student at Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, 12 years ago so not restricted to rural hospitals. Shaming the patient in active labor, for crying, having so many kids etc. An easier alternative would have been an epidural

A terrible anniversary that must never be forgotten When a govt out of touch with the lived reality of three quarters of its urban population shut down an entire country and forced millions of poor people to trudge 100s/1000s of kilometres to get home So many died of exhaustion😱

In response to queries on how students with '0' and -ve marks could be allowed MBBS seats, govt said these students passed these subjects in class XII with 50% Then why NEET? If class XII marks show you they are good enough even if they get zero in entrance, why have entrance?

If public health system works, it will substantially shrink 'business' of pvt health sector. That's why pvt guys have strong motive to cripple govt health system. Covid vaccination is proof that if govt sector works well, pvt paid-for health sector sector will shrink

Leading hospitals are seeing the end of vaccination in the private sector. With improved vaccine supply in government centres which is making it easy for ppl to get free shots, the pvt sector has cut down on vaccine orders amid poor demand for paid jabs.
