Between safer alternatives like snus, pouches, and vaping - and smokers tired of endless “for your own good” taxes --- you've created your own budget woes. You’ve made yourselves even less useful, yet still get to sell the fight. Keep trying!
Parties at #MOP4 were in Geneva this week to reinforce the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products. Strengthening this treaty is essential. By shutting down illicit supply chains, countries can protect vital government revenue and weaken the criminal networks

@Vapingit Utter hysteria. Teen smoking and vaping are at record lows. Yet we still get BS headlines, like "why your teens just can't quit nicotine"??? WTF?! I despise these people.

Vapelopedia entry #825: Vape Vilification: Describes the process by which vaping is portrayed negatively in the media or public discourse, often to demonize or vilify the practice, leading to public misunderstanding or fear, like a character assassination campaign.
"Dr. Pamela Ling, a professor at UCSF who has spent her career studying the tobacco industry’s tactics, joins Dr. Sanjay Gupta to talk about why nicotine remains such a moving target — and how parents can help their kids stay ahead of it." https://t.co/z2iQMCzToe

Vapelopedia entry #234: Emotional Reasoning Isn’t Science: Science reminds us that emotions, while important, don’t constitute scientific evidence, like trying to solve a math problem with enthusiasm alone.
E-Cigarettes: Not a Safe Alternative E-cigarettes (vapes) are often marketed as a “safer” option than traditional cigarettes, but they are not harmless. @Beth25040

From the Vapelopedia, entry #464: Premature Niculation™®, © ( @CorporateJason ): how anti-tobacco “experts” get excited too quickly when they see a 'study' and spurt conclusions about nicotine vaping - because they don’t understand the data, context, or basic scientific rigor.

We can’t allow our psychotic nanny-state propaganda to be ignored or infiltrated by unauthorized messaging to the contrary.
Self described medical experts on YouTube play a key role in driving journeys from anti- to pro-tobacco videos, potentially exposing health information seekers to content that may undermine their health goals, find George Pearson et al. https://t.co/o8LU6Jvuz9

Imagine the tobacco control cult helping smokers switch to vastly safer alternatives instead of policing handshakes with Big Tobacco - while demanding revenue from the very people they despise? But they have pageantry and a perpetual fight to sell.
One hundred countries across Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Eastern Mediterranean, Europe, and Latin America were evaluated and ranked based on how well their governments are standing up to Big Tobacco. How did your country perform? Find out in the #GlobalTobaccoIndex2025. 🔗

“Youth are not just targets…” You're right, they're pawns. An undeniable statement from groups like @TobaccoFreeKids and @CTFKGlobal who, after decades, still haven’t provided the essential education for minors they claim is their mission.
An undeniable statement from #COP11: "Youth are not just targets. We are experts, advocates, and innovators driving effective tobacco control." See the essential moments, public actions, and key encounters of COP11’s youth ambassadors in this powerful recap. #FCTCSavesLives

The journal jama recieved a community note for the way these statistics are reported. By the doubling they mean 0.2% higher then in 2020, but this peaked around 3 years ago, and is still dropping. I hope someone adds a note here too
Fewer teens are vaping, but addiction is deepening. Researchers at @KECKSchool_USC found daily nicotine use among youth nearly doubled since 2020.
