As a former player myself, and with my son growing up in the sport too, I know firsthand the impact Mr. Saladino had on generations of student-athletes. His love for baseball and dedication to our students will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with his family!.

I am heartbroken to hear about the passing of Tony Saladino! He was one of a kind and a true legend in our community and the game of baseball.

Our @GaitherCowboys are kicking off the school year with an A for the first time since 2012!. This success comes at the start of Principal Dr. Klein’s first year leading the Cowboys, and his “Rock it out!” mentality is already energizing the campus.

Riverview High School is making waves! With an 80-point increase and their first A in a decade, our Sharks are showing what’s possible when they “Attack as One.” Principal Spiro, his admin team, students, and staff are setting a new standard for excellence.

For the first time since 2012, @BurneyElem earned a B this past school year, with four consecutive years of science growth and nearly 50% proficiency!. Under Principal Quinlan’s dedicated leadership, students and staff are motivated and ready to level up their learning this year.

Kenly Elementary School has all the ingredients for success! . Under Principal Cooley’s leadership, the @KenlyCougars team moved the school grade from a C to an A — the first A in the school’s history. A remarkable milestone for students, staff, and the entire school community!

We’re up bright & early with our media partners talking about all things back to school!. From school bus safety to the new cellphone policy, & the opening of our 29th high school, we’re looking forward to a safe & successful school year for all our students, staff, & families.

No matter your age, the first day of school always stirs up memories and emotions. From excitement to nerves, today marks the start of a promising year. I wish our students, families, and staff a wonderful day. Here’s to a great school year ahead!

It was a great turnout today for Rep. @SusanLValdesFL's 20th annual Back to School Health Fair at @APLetoHigh! Thanks to our incredible community partners, families received school supplies, backpacks, and medical check-ups.

I understand Commissioner Kamoutsas’ concerns. To be clear, this book was not purchased since I was appointed superintendent but I will ensure that moving forward all books purchased at taxpayer expense are advancing academic achievement and student success.
