I haven't been using this account much mostly cos maintaining more than one twitter account is difficult, but you can follow @unethicalcoffee for chaotic tweets about everything from Riverdale to video games to spicy political takes, before I potentially delete this account!

I'd like to propose an end to the phrases "people of all abilities" and "regardless of ability" in lieu of disability. If you're talking about disability, say disability or disability status. Here's why:

This is so accurate! I’m no longer focusing on trying to change these institutions structurally it’s not going to work. The focus should be to slowly redistribute resources away from these oppressive institutions to grassroots organisations, that’s only way forward.

This bill will not solve the endemic gendered violence 97% of women in this country have experienced. More police powers will only result in more violence. We must stand together to fight for the community-driven specialist services that we know keep us safe. #KilltheBill

Reminder: "hate crime" is a criminal category created by the US state (um, the FBI) to *isolate / individualize* violence that often has origins in the behavior of the state itself (policing, war, presidential rhetoric, etc). It's a lazy term that is used wrongly & too often.

We are coming together this weekend to mourn. To mourn the women and gender non-conforming people who have died after contact with police, in detention centres and prisons; and all of the women who have died at the hands of violent men. #ReclaimTheseStreets

In our latest blog post, we call for @csmcr, the biggest Computer science department in @RussellGroup to stop referencing slavery in their terminology. Alternatives exist, so what's their excuse? Link in bio, written by @darcyamurphy #decolonisecomputerscience

“Good Feminism looks like dainty white women quietly gathering with flowers at a socially distanced ‘vigil’ (not a protest), with the permission of the police of course [...] Bad Feminism disrupts the status quo.” Brilliant piece đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„
