As an ID specialist, I want you to both play close attention and completely disregard the patients white count. Why do people have trouble understanding that?

#Tweetiatrician check-in In case no one has told you today…we are so grateful for you. I know the odds are stacked against you, and it’s chaos out there…drug shortages, bed shortages, kids are sicker than they’ve ever been… and you’re doing your best Thank you ❤️

Cefdinir is poorly absorbed and highly protein bound. Time > MIC is suboptimal ==> not recommended for CAP. *Cefdinir does not equal ceftriaxone. It isn't a step up for failed amoxicillin or amoxicillin-clavulanate. #AAP2022

When med students rotate with me. MS3: Wow…there’s a lot of crying going on…how do you deal with that?” Me: Crying? What crying? Oh…you mean that sound of kids developing immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases. #VaccinesAreSafe #VaccinesAreEffective #VaccinesSaveLives
