So please, think before you cancel someone. Do research, and form your own opinion, don’t blindly follow what the drama feeds you. I’ve had this happen to a close irl friend, and I know they’re a good person, so that hurts. Please y’all, just think. 8/8.

The basis of this thread is mostly just to try and get people to look at both sides of the argument before forming an opinion. Do your research, and get knowledgeable on a subject before saying “yeah this person is __” 7/8.

It’s easy to have an opinion on someone these days, without looking into things more deeply. Whatever is surface level is easier access, and people form opinions based off of these surface level “facts”. 6/8.

People will completely ruin someone’s reputation without giving the other person a chance to respond. They won’t look into any of the facts beyond what’s on surface level, or do any research themselves, and just blindly follow whatever the side with more drama puts out. 5/8.

The worst part? Someone can say something about you, and regardless of if it’s true or not, 99% of the time, people take the side of the person that puts out more drama, and don’t even consider looking at the other persons defense. 4/8.

People change. Like, genuinely. A liked tweet from 3 years ago can get somebody cancelled today, and 3 years is a lot of time to change. I literally went from the straightest MF to whatever I am now in like… 2 years. 3/8.

Again I’m not saying that all people being cancelled don’t deserve it, but I feel that more than 50% of it is just petty drama, and that can straight up ruin a person these days. You can lose your entire reputation because someone digs up the most irrelevant dirt possible. 2/8.

People really just cancel others for like… genuinely no reason these days. It almost seems like we just want to find a reason to start drama for absolutely no reason other than just to start it. This isn’t targeting any recent events In particular, but damn it’s sad to watch 1/8.
