First, the attacks were not by Hamas but by a coalition of Palestinian resistance groups. The focus on Hamas is only to facilitate the erection of a bogey-monster.
Fourth, and most important, to condemn an act of resistance in a context where the occupation is not being condemned is utterly ridiculous and patently immoral. The occupation ought to be interrogated first before the resistance is.
Second, the conflict did not begin on Oct 7. Demands to condemn rely on a decontextualized version of events in order to paint the attacks as “unprovoked”. The chain of Israeli aggressions and brutalities in Gaza and the West Bank prior to Oct 7 is long, ugly, and continuous.
Third, claims the attacks comprised deplorable barbarities such as beheadings, rapes, torture etc. source back to Israeli military/govt. officials. There is no reason they should be believed without clear evidence. Bibi and the IDF are known liars; war is half propaganda.
Fifth, demands for condemnation are simply used to rally support for and justify further aggression, of the sort we now see in Gaza. No fair-minded person should play a role in that.
Piers Morgan dropping gems.
"A terrorist group is a group that commits terrorist acts."
"A terrorist act in International law is to commit an act of terror, which is terrorism."
Ergo, Israel good, Hamas bad. Obviously!
‘Karni’, from an all-female tank company, told Israel’s N12 News that she was ordered to open tank fire on homes in the Holit kibbutz whether they contained civilians or not. She decided not to, but we know others did. Kibbutz Be’eri is the most striking example of this. /2
Yasmin Porat, resident of Be'eri, was one of those shelled. Her now-famous testimony to Israeli State Radio (Oct 15) reveals when Israeli forces arrived, they fired indiscriminately: “They eliminated everyone, including the hostages. There was very, very heavy crossfire.”
Hadas Dagan’s later testimony (Dec 11) corroborates this. She was the sole survivor from a house in Be'eri where 14 hostages were killed. She explains how Israeli shelling was the cause of this. 👇🏽
I left Hizb ut-Tahrir five years ago, but I was a member long enough to say with certainty that allegations of antisemitism and supporting terrorism are baseless propaganda. I stand with the Hizb, despite disagreements, as I know the vast majority of Muslim leaders and orgs do.…
The first point to note is that taking out hundreds of fighters in civilians areas is nigh impossible w/out “firendly fire” casualties, all the more with the IOF’s “Hannibal protocol” of using max force to avoid hostage situations. Testimonial evidence corroborates this. /1
“I used to be a Zionist...until I found out that the state was founded based on the extirpation, the expulsion, and multiple massacres of the local population, and that's not historically controversial.” — Gabor Maté
This is an equitable solution. The original problem was European Jew-hatred (Europe being Europe, meh). Why should any other people pay for that? No soul ought to bear the burdens of another's sin. So, Europe should make room and expiate for its crimes. /1
But where in Europe? Well, Germany was particularly egregious. It has plenty of land. And now the Germans have changed. They're now best-buddies with the Zionists. They go out of their way to support Jews and Israel-in-the-wrong-place. It's a marriage made in heaven. /2
Tuval Escapa was part of security in Be’eri. He told Nir Hasson (Oct 20) that to free Be'eri, “commanders in the field made difficult decisions—including shelling houses with all their occupants inside in order to eliminate the terrorists along with the hostages.”…
If all of this is not incontrovertible evidence that Israeli forces killed at least some—likely many!—of their own on Oct 7, I don’t know what is! Yet Israeli authorities continue to brush this under the carpet, because admitting to it would tar their case for genocide in Gaza.
But wait, there’s more! Without the colonial outpost in the ME, the US doesn’t have to spend billions on Israel every year and can instead start caring for its own people. More money for education, healthcare, R&D. How radical an idea! /4
Quique Kierszenbaum toured Be’eri after Oct 7, noting “nearby trees splintered and walls reduced to concrete rubble from where Israeli tanks blasted the Hamas militants where they were hiding. Floors collapsed on floors. Roof beams were tangled and exposed...”…
If Israel relocates, Zionists get their Jewish homeland & state; Palestinians get their stolen land back; the refugee “problem” is solved; and Israeli “settlers” (’48 borders, yes) don’t have to live in fear. Resistance movements can be disbanded too—no need for Hamas et al. /3
On the one hand, Israel did a special 43-min screening of selective material for select journalists on Oct 23 to prove how Hamas are monsters. On the other hand, it won't allow any journalists into Gaza to see how its soliders operate or to report on its genocide there. (It's…
Finally, we know that the "1400 killed" figure was over by 200 bec. as Mark Regev explained, "there were actually bodies that were so badly burnt, we thought they were ours; in the end, apparently, they were Hamas terrorists." Light arms don’t do this. Heavy artillery does.…
Colonel Nof Erez, an Israeli reserve pilot, told a Haaretz podcast that Oct 7 was “a mass Hannibal” because there were “tons of openings in the fence” with Gaza and thousands were moving back and forth: “it was an impossible mission” for Apache and drone pilots to distinguish…

What if Europe returns to old ways, you ask? No, surely not! In our “post-racial” world, Europe is an egalitarian heaven! Ok, so there’s plenty of right-wing nutjob parties on the rise, but they’re just Islamophobic; they love the Jews & the Jews love them! G Wilders, e.g. /5

Because the Jews in question (not all Jews) are in the position of occupation and oppression. You don't get to cry victim from that position.
My God, this clip sounds 10x worse now than it did in 2019. I can't get over how historically illiterate his position is. The resistance only adopted violence when *decades* of peaceful attempts proved futile, throughout which "the world" couldn't care less.
Khan is also a self-proclaimed student of Hamza Yusuf (born Mark Hanson), a white revert to Islam, who in a 2019 interview mocked 🇵🇸 resistance & blamed Palestinians for Israeli colonization. He also claimed the Nakba drove some Palestinians mad, causing them to be "violent". 5/
Mark Regev: In any future solution, Palestinians cannot have the same rights as Israel. They must remain inferior.

getting schooled that history is a thing. You can't just "start at Oct 7" because your zionist friends likes it.
"1400 civilians killed! 40 beheaded babies!"
"No, sorry, we meant 1200. Couldn't identify 200 but we threw them in for dramatic effect."
"Oh wait, no, actually it's 766 civilians. 373 military/police. No beheaded babies."

Rubbish. No one says they didn't live there. Rather, that living there in the past doesn't give them the right exclusive sovereignity or to dispossess a million people.

It's wrong to generalize this to "let's be careful of all refugees", Jake. Jewish emigration to Palestine took place in the context of a Zionist movement working for a Jewish state in Palestine, which, significantly, had the support of major world powers at the time.

Except there's no evidence of Hamas going door-to-door killing families either. (There's testimony to the contrary, e.g. Yasmin Porat). But if we're going with what is typical in war, first thing is to be skeptical of propaganda. Israel's entire narrative of Oct 7 is suspect.

Nonsense. If you started to trust the Gazans, the brutal blockade would have been removed. You continue to occupy and oppress and then cry victim when there is a reaction.
