Last night we had over 80 students participate in a Collaborative Learning activity about Empathy. A huge thanks to Helen for sharing her impactful story. It is the highlight of the event. Thanks also to the facilitators and engaged learners for the thoughtful dialogue!

Today, Providence SLPs Mary & Bronwen led a Collaborative Learning workshop on Supported Conversations: supporting people who know more than they can say. This engaging activity really highlighted the Patient/Family Centered care competency of Collaborator Competency framework.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s Collaborative Learning structured placement. Nine students are registered and will explore the concept of Transitions in Care, learning from our patient partner’s story and using the Collaborator competency lens to reflect. Can’t wait to learn!!

Thanks @UnityHealth’s Laura Prince for yesterday’s Collaborative Learning activity: Compassion Fatigue. Participants reported learning the “Importance of self-care and supporting others on the team to avoid burnout” and rated 4.5/5 for an activity that they would recommend.
