As I type our Band 2 assistant perioperative practitioners are again taking industrial action against the Trust. These workers perform skilled clinical tasks daily and need to be upbanded to a 3. If this action does not produce an offer then more days will be called.

Today I joined the Unison picket line of Leeds NHS operating theatre staff on strike over not being paid fairly for important work they’ve done. I've previously raised their unfair treatment with the NHS Trust. Hospital managers need to resolve this urgently.

As this article says our chief executive signed this role off as a band 3 a matter of weeks ago at Calderdale,the fact that the same role is a 2 here in Leeds makes no sense. What choice do our members have when faced with such inconsistency & unfairness @unisonyh @RichardBurgon
