100 days so far on strike, they say their resolve and determination grows as the days pass. They have my full solidarity - to victory! ✊ . 3/3

They started with just a small number of workers aggrieved that management on 6 figure salaries refused to do a regrading exercise to evaluate their pay, so they recruited the other workers and organised them to take on the bosses. 2/3

Today I visited the picket line of the Gloucestershire phlebotomists. This was their 100th day of strike action in pursuit of fair pay. It was a privilege to stand alongside these inspirational and determined women. 1/3

Only 3 MP's in receipt of UNISON funding voted against cuts to disability benefits last night. We need a General Secretary who defends the interests of our members, even against a Labour Government.

It’s great to see so many MPs supporting an amendment that would prevent cuts to welfare, including 9 who received support from UNISON. However 53 UNISON-backed MPs have not. Our GS and Labour Link must be clear that they must support the amendment and vote against cuts.

Ashamed? Workers in a time of austerity fighting back because of proposals of PAY CUTs ? What should workers do sit back and do nothing, whilst their family incomes suffer ? Get real workers have had enough of the spiralling cost of living and need pay increases not cuts.

Birmingham feels like 1975. Unspoilt by progress. I remember uncollected bins and power cuts in the 70s. We left socialism in 1989.
