1/ The #PactForTheFuture process kicked off @ 🇳🇦University of Science & Technology during the 24th Theo-Ben Gurirab Lecture Series. Theme: “The Pact of the Future: Renewed commitments to advancing the Sustainable Development Agenda.”Youth took the lead on Africa’s SDG journey.

In countries where @GlobalFund invests, AIDS-related deaths have been reduced by 74% and new HIV infections reduced by 62%. @UNAIDS is a proud partner. We need sustained investment in the fight to #endAIDS, to strengthen health systems, and to ensure global health security.

The US joining the initiative to expand access to the long-acting HIV prevention medicine #Lenacapavir, is a vital step. The initial roll-out to up to 2M people is an important start, but to end AIDS, this breakthrough medicine must reach all people most at risk of HIV. ⤵️
