We are resillient in promoting 10% forest cover in Kenya. Development at the expense of the environment is not sustainable development. @Greenpeaceafric @KeForestService @WilliamsRuto @KWSKenya

The ecosystem is highly interdependent. While the ban on the logging has been lifted, we urge Kenyans to be mindful of the environment rather than prioritizing development. Help by signing the petition below: https://t.co/E8iWPoFHbw

@WilliamsRuto .Please rescind the logging decision. Get loggers out of our forests & engage all stakeholders. It will be a national disaster if livelihoods are pegged on logging in #Kenya. It should not be #industrial desertification. They can import timber from TZ or DRC

The government's decision to lift a logging ban will easily deplete Kenya's forest cover. The stretch between kijabe and soko mjinga will soon have zero trees just bushes and tree stumps. Sad times for our environment.

Law Society of Kenya (LSK) sues government to reinstate the logging ban lifted by President Ruto. Lack of scientific reasoning and disregard for environmental impact jeopardise climate change mitigation, biodiversity preservation, and livelihoods.

@KeForestService @Environment_Ke @ForestSociety @KAM_Kenya @KEFRIHQ First plant new forests before you destroy what you found in existence. And by the way, who benefits from the timber cut from the existing forests?

@WilliamsRuto, the ban you lifted on logging despite the fact that kenya forest cover is barely 10%, is having a devastating impact on our forests. Its enabled deforestation which led to the loss of our biodiversity and consequently fuelling #ClimateCrisis. Jowi! @bonifacemwangi

@bygones2023 @TonyMurega The rate of deforestation against reforestation is what reduced forest cover to 6% don't you see it's worrying? Because logging in Kenya is not licensed and govern properly. Soon forest lands will be up to grab by our big fish.

A few weeks ago while addressing youth on climate change at Paris, France, ruto promised to protect forest cover. Fraud! Ruto has since authorized runaway logging in Kenya's forests ....over 3Million trees have fallen in the last week alone! Dishonesty!

President Ruto, we urge you to prioritise Kenya's natural forests over money. Let's restore with indigenous trees and embrace sustainable options like bamboo for our wood and timber needs. Help reinstate the logging ban 👉 https://t.co/MiB0XAUcw0
