Then #COVID19 changed everything - greatly accelerating the baseline declines in #SNF admissions and increases in #HHA admissions as patients avoided institutional post-acute settings. There was some recovery in #SNF admissions by the end of 2021 - but not back to baseline. 4/

Interestingly, the SNF and HHA payment reforms were associated with small increases in admissions to their respective settings -- suggesting #PDPM and #PDGM did not negatively impact access to post-acute care (for the general Medicare FFS population). 3/
