Gyökeres is not a good player. Simple as that. He’ll score some goals during the season, but he provides close to nothing to his team.

Doesn't seem like they have any serious interest in replacing them tbh. Two unicorn level passing MFs, it looks like they're just looking for that unicorn level quality whenever they can find it, i.e. Mbappe, Trent etc and it hasn't come together that well.
Real Madrid still yet to properly replace Kroos and even Modric High volume passer should be first on their list Locatelli easily gettable

Exactly this, everyone is too close together in quality and with all the financial management rule changes and issues, clubs also often move from their first choices to 2nd/3rd guys who are CLEARLY worse. Feels like every team collectively has a few top guys but way too much mid
The problem is that there’s too many good teams but a shortage of greatness. That’s good when you’re tuning into a random mid table clash but when you’re watching a big ucl tie you’re trying to see the pinnacle of the sport. Too many normal guys😂
