Most recently, @ClaricePerryman took a look at belowground #methane cycling in Sallie's Fen, a long-term wetland research site near campus, using a combination of incubations, stable isotopes, and characterization of the peatland microbiome! .
Happy to share that my 1st PhD paper is now out in early view in @JGRBiogeo! #PeatTwitter #PeatECR. "Microtopography matters: Belowground CH4 cycling regulated by differing microbial processes in peatland hummocks and lawns" . 🧵1/n.

@werdrobison spent many days in our lab during his PhD measuring #methane emissions from streams. His recent paper integrates emissions and stable isotope measurements and microbial DNA sequencing to develop a model of CH4 cycling in small streams: .
Excited to have our paper out on methane cycling in small streams, which considered diffusive and ebullitive fluxes, isotopes, and microbes to think about how these systems compare to other aquatic ecosystems. A thread.
