Than you @AndreaSCousins for recognizing the importance of child care
👏👏 @AndreaSCousins is making child care a priority for the upcoming session! We agree! Child care costs are driving families out of NY & wreaking havoc on our economy. It’s time for Universal Public Child Care. Read the plan: https://t.co/fIky64fQ0y

“The city is behaving like a disengaged, deadbeat parent.” City contracting may not be sexy, but it’s the backbone of all the crucial social services that our neighborhoods rely on. Nonprofits may not make payroll because of this nonsense. NYC: pay your bills!
I recently spoke at a @HSC_NY event where I asked the crowd "how many of you are owed money by the city?" and the entire room raised their hands. It's insane and it's hurting New Yorkers. From me and @althea4theBX

Thank you @madinatoure for covering our report. New Yorkers need choices when it comes to summer activities. One size does not fit all!
New York City parents want more options for free summer camp amid low attendance of the publicly funded program now in place, according to a new report umbrella group @UNHNY plans to release later this month.
