The @UKRL4 depot at Leicester looks a bit different to when I was last here! The new building will be used by Stadler to service and maintain the @GBRailfreight Class 99s. More on this in the latest @TodaysRailways, which will be on sale Tuesday.

Today marks the start of construction on new £1.5 million shed at depot in Leicester, designed to maintain new classes of locomotives and provide extra capacity. When operational in early 2024 this will create 15 new, highly skilled jobs.

This weekend, after months of preparation, UKRL’s depot in Leicester opened its doors for 6 Class 170 units from CrossCountry Trains for overnight train care and refuelling. Many thanks to @CrossCountryUK and Arriva TrainCare for the trust you have shown in UKRL.
