Final research trip of 2023. Bentgrass cv. trial. Several great new ones, but if I had to pick one, it’s PST-OMRN followed closely by Piper, 007XL, Pure Eclipse, & Pure Distinction (in no order). My assistant agrees! T1, 007, & PST-OMRN are darkest now. New 007XL practice green.

Las Vegas is the Holy Grail of bermudagrass winter color retention in the SW. Obviously, we’re not there, yet but TifTuf is the most ‘green’ among commercial cvs. & UCR genotypes. Not surprisingly, Tahoma 31 & Latitude 36 are very dormant considering winter survival breeding obj.
