We visited the beef barn at @ucdavis primarily used for cow/calf management. After calves are weaned at our Sierra Foothills Research & Extension Center in Browns Valley, they come here/adjacent pastures to graze for summer before returning to Sierra Foothills to calve in fall.

How lucky are we to have this in our own backyard? 🐮 💙 💛. The @ucdaviscaes' Beef Cattle Facilities are more than just pens and pastures – it’s where students learn real-world cow/calf management through hands-on experience at every stage of care.
