Seriously what were they thinking with that airplane opening? Some people probably thought they walked into the wrong movie when they saw that. The unnecessary backstory for Peter's parents was the downfall of these movies.

Mind you the story isn’t even bad it’s at least more interesting than some spider-man movies, just not as good as the stories from the previous games. The game is disappointing purely on it being a small leap from the first two games but it’s still a very very good game
Never gonna forget how this app acts like this is the worst, most irredeemable downgraded sequel slop ever & the one time it came up in a discussion with my young adult friends at work everyone started talking for an hour about how fire it was playing with the Black Suit & Venom

This misconception needs to die. Nolan’s entire gotham doesn’t really look like that. The Narrows is the small island slum of Gotham where most of the movie takes place. You can even see the “Chicago” look in the background of that narrows shot and in other shots of the movie.
