Now that the summer is winding down & the kids are back in the routine of getting back to school, I’ve been reminiscing over the growth the ballplayers made this summer. All 54 athletes (7th grade -> College) who were apart of the summer weight lifting programming made this one

The feeling of knowing how to hit the top away quadrant for a low line drive oppo… . Allows for the VBA to be the flattest… . Which will teach & allow your body how to adjust/tilt for any other pitch type/location. Creating / having space allows you to pull the baseball.

Hitters:. Your feel is more important than any coaches thoughts of what our eyes see before figuring out what we can do next in helping.

As a coach, doing less & staying out of the way matters…. You don’t need to be the first rushing to point out a fix, add, or suggest something to be a respected coach. Allowing your eyes to evaluate… Being prepared for questions…. When that hitter needs your help, be ready.

If pitchers are always making adjustments, hitters need to be doing the same…. There’s sooooo much more that goes into hitting & this is a baseline of high end conversation that most hitters don’t understand until getting to the next level… . Find someone early in your career.

Being “good” at a young age holds zero validity & weight to mean the future will be successful. Putting in work won’t guarantee you success but it will give you a chance. Confidence will grow in knowing you put in the work so when the lights turn on in the game, you won’t have.
